EXLANTIX ES Long-Term Test: 32,000 km with Seven Driving Modes Navigating Europe's Diverse Road Conditions

Recently, the EXLANTIX ES BEV, a premium all-electric performance sedan under EXEED, commenced its European adaptation road testing in Munich, Germany. The testing will span over 32,000 kilometers, traversing various countries and regions, including Germany, Denmark, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. This comprehensive evaluation will address diverse road conditions, including mountainous terrain, highways, urban environments, and rural areas. The vehicle is equipped with advanced features such as an intelligent cloud-based air suspension system, a CDC electromagnetic damping shock absorber system, and seven distinct driving modes. These technologies collectively showcase the vehicle’s superior all-terrain performance, offering users a balance between the premium of urban driving and the dynamic experience of high-performance road handling.

image.pngThe EXLANTIX ES BEV is available in two configurations: a two-wheel-drive (2WD) variant equipped with a rear-mounted single motor delivering a maximum output of 230 kW, and a four-wheel-drive (4WD) variant that incorporates an additional front-mounted 123 kW motor, resulting in a combined power output of 353 kW and a peak torque of 660 Nm. The 4WD model achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds. Both configurations are equipped with high-performance battery systems, with a maximum capacity of 100 kWh. Official certification indicates a maximum range of 592 km, while real-world testing reveals a range of up to 610 km. These figures not only position the ES BEV as a leader in its class, surpassing competitors in terms of range and performance, but also underscore EXLANTIX's substantial expertise and innovative capacity in the domain of new energy vehicle technology.


Seven Driving Modes and Four-Wheel Drive System: Conquering Complex Road Conditions with Ease

For everyday urban use, the ES BEV provides four distinct driving modes: Standard, Comfort, Sport, and Economy, catering to diverse user requirements. Comfort mode offers a good balance between vehicle power and energy efficiency, boasting excellent vibration damping for an exceptionally comfortable ride, making it ideal for the majority of daily commutes. By selecting Sport mode, the power response is heightened, and the suspension is adjusted to a firmer setting, effectively minimizing body roll and improving handling and stability, thus giving the driver a more thrilling experience. The Economy mode, in contrast, delivers a more gradual and linear acceleration with a less aggressive power response, aiming to reduce energy usage and extend the vehicle's range.

The ES BEV is equipped with three specialized terrain modes—Snow, Sand, and Recovery—designed to optimize performance across various outdoor environments and driving conditions. The Snow mode ensures enhanced traction and stability on low-adhesion surfaces such as ice and snow, reducing the likelihood of slippage and improving safety during winter driving. The Sand mode is tailored for the terrain primarily covered in sand, including deserts, gravel, and beaches, providing superior maneuverability and control. Meanwhile, the Mud mode is engineered to address challenging conditions such as deep ruts and soft, uneven surfaces, allowing for increased suspension articulation and significantly improving the vehicle’s recovery capability. The implementation of Snow, Sand, and Recovery modes is particularly dependent on the dual-motor architecture, which enhances the vehicle's handling and stability on challenging terrains. This dual-motor system offers the added benefit of safety redundancy, improving the overall reliability of the vehicle’s drivetrain and ensuring optimal performance under demanding conditions.

Standard Air Suspension with CDC Provides Ultimate Driving Comfort and Control

The new model is equipped with an intelligent cloud-based air suspension system and a CDC electromagnetic damping system as standard, providing automatic adjustments to suspension stiffness and height based on road conditions and driving modes. This combination delivers exceptional road adaptability and passenger comfort. Additionally, the ES BEV features a high-performance front double wishbone and rear multi-link suspension system, enabling precise transmission of even the smallest road surface details to the driver. This enhanced road feel not only amplifies driving enjoyment but also ensures safety during operation.

Furthermore, for exceptional braking performance, the ES BEV boasts high-performance 6-piston racing calipers that deliver quick and agile stopping power. This braking system, enhanced by the IBS intelligent brake-by-wire technology and paired with R21 sport wheels, achieves an impressive 100 km/h braking distance of only 33.1 meters. The ES BEV also incorporates an intelligent comfort stop feature. This system, through optimized algorithms, minimizes the "nose-diving" sensation during braking, thus providing a smooth and comfortable braking experience, even in frequent stop-and-go city conditions, and preventing passenger discomfort.

The ES BEV, equipped with a comprehensive suite of driving modes and a high-performance chassis, not only offers an exceptional driving experience but also ensures optimal comfort for passengers. Following a rigorous, in-depth, and comprehensive testing regime across diverse European road conditions, the vehicle has effectively demonstrated its superior performance and quality. The vehicle is slated for release in the first half of 2025, with markets including Norway and the Middle East set to receive the model.
